My first muffins

Hello everyone! (Or, as I would put it, 'aylow'!)

Today, mummy and I made muffins together. I enjoyed tipping the ingredients into the bowl, smearing the batter round the room, and dropping it into the paper cases. I also enjoyed eating them once they were cooked!

Water, water, everywhere

Sophie has been enjoying the sunny weather by playing in her paddling pool. I'm sure she'd stay in there all day if she could!

I love gardening!

At the weekend I was allowed to play with mud and plants in the garden. And then a doggy came round to play. It was basically the best weekend ever.

Sophie's 10 first words

Sophie has an amazing vocabulary. Unfortunately, most of it doesn't make sense to us... but she's getting the hang of it. She uses the following on a fairly regular basis:

'More' (definitely her most-used word, especially in relation to red berries)
'No'
'Fower' (flower)
'Moon'
'Papa'
'Nana' (both for bananas and Nana)
'L'eau-l'eau' (water)
'Do-do' (sleep)
'Yes' (when asked, 'Would you like a fruit?')
'Shoes'

She can also make a range of animal noises - raa, baa, moo, aa-aa, guk-guk (quack-quack).

And she still keeps up her first phrase - 'uh-oh'!

Beach fun

Hello, I'm back!

We had a day out at the beach on Saturday. It was only my second time at the beach and I loved it!

Here are some photos of the fun we had.

Sixteen months

Hi! I'm Sophie

I'm 16 months old.

I can feed myself with a spoon.

I can climb stairs.

I can WALK!

Thursday, 12 December 2013

I can stand on my own two feet!

What is this thing I'm holding?!*

Mummy's note: Sophie finally progressed from balancing next to furniture, the stairs, my legs, to standing up on her own! We may have a walker on our hands in the near future... We're so proud of her! As for Sophie, she doesn't seem to understand what all the fuss is about!

*Luckily, she has no idea!
